Sunday’s Bengals-Giants game in Cincinnati will be blacked out, the Bengals confirmed Thursday.
The game will not be televised in a 75-mile radius of Paul Brown Stadium.
The Bengals had sold out five games in a row dating back to last season. Prior to that, 10-of-11 games had been blacked out.
According to PFW correspondent Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer, this is the second consecutive time the Bengals have hosted a defending Super Bowl champion and had the game blacked out. Their game against the Saints in 2010 did not sell out.
The Bengals are 3-5 and have lost four games in a row. They are 1-3 at home this season.
