The Bills signed CB Crezdon Butler and OT Thomas Welch to the active roster on Wednesday.

Butler, a third-year pro, has played in three games this season — two with the Redskins and one with the Cardinals. He appeared in one game for Arizona last season and four in 2010 with the Steelers.

Welch played in eight games last season — three with the Patriots, including one start, and five with the Rams.

Butler and Welch provide depth for the Bills after they placed CT Terrence McGee and OT Erik Pears on injured reserve.
