Bears 'don't worry' about Jennings, Tillman

Bears CBs Charles Tillman and Tim Jennings have established themselves as Pro Bowl candidates with their performance through the first half of the season. The Bears have monopolized the NFC Defensive Player of the Month award this season — Jennings received the honor for September and Tillman was named the October recipient.

If they play close to as opportunistically in the second half of the season as they did in the first half, Tillman and Jennings almost certainly will be booking tickets to Hawaii for the league’s annual all-star game. Odds are they cannot keep up the torrid pace they are on when it comes to forcing turnovers. The buzz about the two corners eventually might die down, although the Bears don't seem to be too caught up in it anyway.

PFW recently asked MLB Brian Urlacher about his trust in the team's starting tandem at corner.

“We don’t worry about them,” Urlacher said. “Teams are going to make plays. We know that. They get paid as well, but (Jennings and Tillman) are making a lot of plays. They make the big plays.

“Their job is to keep (receivers) in front of them and they do that. They tackle them, we play another down and we make plays when we do that.”
