The Broncos signed S Duke Ihenacho from the practice squad and placed MLB Joe Mays on injured reserve on Tuesday.

Mays suffered a fracture in his fibula of his left ankle in Sunday night’s win over the Saints. Keith Brooking will remain the team’s starting middle linebacker. Mays had been relegated to special-teams work.

Ihenacho, a rookie out of San Jose State, played in one game this season for Denver. He has spent five weeks on the team’s practice squad.
