The Cowboys agreed to terms on a deal with former Packers S Charlie Peprah, according to ESPN Dallas.
Peprah was released in July. He had not practiced in the offseason because of a knee injury.
Last season, Peprah started 14-of-16 games and had 74 tackles, 10 passes defensed and five interceptions. He played for Green Bay from 2006-08 and 2010-11. Peprah played in two games for the Falcons in 2009.
Per ESPN Dallas, the Cowboys could release one of their two punters, or place Phil Costa or Matt Johnson on injured reserve to make room for Peprah, who adds depth to a safety group that is without Barry Church for the season.
