Cowboys RB DeMarco Murray suffered ligament damage in his foot, but it is not a Lisfranc injury, ESPN Dallas’ Todd Archer reported.
A Lisfranc injury likely would have ended Murray’s season.
According to the team's website, an MRI showed no broken bones in Murray's foot, and the injury is "nothing more" than a foot sprain.
Murray’s injury occurred in Sunday’s loss to the Ravens. X-rays taken after the game were negative. The second-year back had 14 carries for 93 yards before leaving the game. This season, he has 330 rushing yards and 118 receiving yards.
Felix Jones had 92 yards on 18 carries, but had cramping in the second half. Jones would likely start if Murray has to miss the team’s Week Seven game against Carolina.
