The Bills re-signed DE Shawne Merriman and released OL David Snow and DT Jay Ross.

Buffalo released Merriman prior to the season. The former Pro Bowler played in and started five games last season and had nine tackles and one sack before an Achilles injury ended his season.

In two preseason games this summer, Merriman had three tackles.

Snow and Ross were activated from the practice squad for last Sunday’s game against Arizona to add depth. Merriman knows the system and can be a reserve D-end as the team waits for Mark Anderson to return from a knee injury.

The Bills brought back S Delano Howell to fill the final roster spot.
