Saints QB Drew Brees, Bears CB Charles Tillman and Rams P Johnny Hekker were named the NFC’s Players of the Week for Week Five.

Brees completed 29-of-45 passes for 370 yards and four touchdowns in the Saints’ win over the Chargers. His 40-yard touchdown strike to Devery Henderson broke Johnny Unitas’ record for most consecutive weeks with a touchdown pass.

Tillman returned an interception 36 yards for a touchdown in the Bears’ win over the Jaguars. It was the second game in a row in which Tillman returned an interception for a score. He also had four tackles.

Hekker had seven punts for a gross average of 56.9 yards per punt in the Rams’ win over the Cardinals. Three of his punts landed inside Arizona’s 20-yard line.
