An MRI confirmed a torn ACL for Texans LB Brian Cushing, head coach Gary Kubiak confirmed at his press conference. Kubiak said that Cushing will have surgery when the swelling goes down.

Cushing suffered the knee injury while being chop blocked by Jets OLG Matt Slauson. The fourth-year veteran left the game and Tim Dobbins replaced him.

The 15th pick in the 2009 draft, Cushing had 29 tackles, an interception and one forced fumbles in five starts this season. He had 114 tackles, four sacks and two picks while starting all 16 games last season.
