Redskins QB Robert Griffin III and Chiefs QB Matt Cassel left their respective games on Sunday with head injuries.
Griffin suffered his injury on a hard hit from Falcons LB Sean Witherspoon as he scrambled near the goal line. Fellow rookie Kirk Cousins replaced Griffin and later threw a 77-yard touchdown pass to WR Santana Moss.
The Redskins said that Griffin was “shaken up” and questionable to return.
Cassel left the Chiefs-Ravens game after getting hit by Ravens NT Haloti Ngata and LB Paul Kruger. Brady Quinn replaced Cassel, who had thrown two interceptions and lost a pair of fumbles in the game. The Chiefs said Cassel has a head injury and is questionable to return.
