Drew Brees broke Johnny Unitas’ record for most consecutive games with a touchdown pass on Sunday night.

Brees’ 40-yard touchdown toss to WR Devery Henderson in the first quarter of the Saints’ game against the Chargers broke the record, as he has now thrown a touchdown pass in 48 consecutive games.

The record of 47 games stood since 1960. It took Brees three calendar years to break the record. The longest active streak after Brees is Patriots QB Tom Brady, who extended his streak to 37 games with a touchdown pass earlier on Sunday.
