The NFL added three games to Broncos LB D.J. Williams’ suspension, the league confirmed Friday.

Williams is already serving a six-game suspension for a violation of the league’s substance-abuse policy. Williams filed a lawsuit to get the suspension overturned, but his suit was dismissed.

The extra three games are for a violation of a separate league policy. Williams was convicted in August for drunk driving. It was his second drunk driving arrest since 2004.

Williams will be eligible for reinstatement at the conclusion of Week 10. Wesley Woodyard has been starting in his place and is tied for the team-lead with 25 tackles.
