The Packers ruled WR Greg Jennings out for Sunday’s game against the Colts with a groin injury.
“With Jennings, we felt like we were going around in a circle,” head coach Mike McCarthy told reporters on Thursday. “Why wait until Sunday? Shut him down for a week and concentrate on rehab.”
Jennings first suffered the injury in the end of the season opener and missed the Packers’ Week Two game against the Bears. He played the past two weeks but had only one catch vs. the Saints in Week Four and missed the second half.
In his three games, Jennings, who is in a contract year, has 12 catches for 78 yards and one touchdown.
