Giants head coach Tom Coughlin ruled WR Hakeem Nicks out for Sunday’s game against the Browns.
Nicks, who fractured the fifth metatarsal of his right foot in May, has missed the last two games. Coughlin said it’s a combination of foot and knee soreness that could use more rest.
In his two games this season, Nicks has 14 catches for 237 yards and a touchdown. He had 10 catches for 199 yards and a score in the Giants’ Week Two win over the Buccaneers.
WR Domenik Hixon was the Giants’ No. 2 receiver opposite Victor Cruz last Sunday. WR Ramses Barden did not practice Wednesday because of a concussion.
