Seahawks WR Golden Tate was fined $21,000 for his Week Two blindside block of Cowboys ILB Sean Lee, according to an ESPN Dallas report.

Tate was not penalized for the hit during Seattle's win over Dallas on Sunday, but the NFL reviewed the crackback block and determined it was an illegal hit. Lee was trying to chase down Seahawks QB Russell Wilson on the play.

The league said the hit was illegal because was Lee, who returned to the game after being evaluated for a concussion, was a defenseless player who could not see the block coming.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said earlier this week that he believed Tate, a third-year veteran, would be fined for the hit.
