The Lions placed CB Drayton Florence on the injured-reserve list with the designation to return. Taking his spot on the 53-man roster is RB Mikel Leshoure, who was suspended for the first two games of the season.

Florence, who signed with the Lions before the regular season began, started in Sunday’s loss to the 49ers and suffered a broken right forearm. According to the new I.R. rule, Florence can return to practice after six weeks and games after eight weeks.

Florence started every game each of the last two seasons with the Bills and had three interceptions in each season. He spent training camp and the preseason with the Broncos before being released.
