ASHBURN, Va. (AP) — The Redskins have placed LB Brian Orakpo and DE Adam Carriker on injured reserve.

The team replaced the two players Tuesday by promoting DE Doug Worthington from the practice squad and signing LB Markus White from Tampa Bay's practice squad.

Orakpo injured his left shoulder and Carriker hurt his right knee in Sunday's 31-28 loss to the Rams.

Worthington was drafted in the seventh round by the Steelers in 2010 and spent most of last season on the Redskins' practice squad.

White was a seventh-round pick by the Redskins last year and played in two games as a rookie. He was cut at the end of preseason last month.

The Redskins also signed DL Dominique Hamilton to the practice squad.
