Lions CB Drayton Florence broke his right forearm in Sunday’s loss to the 49ers, and head coach Jim Schwartz indicated Monday that the injury appears to be significant.
“It doesn’t look real good, but we’ll see,” Schwartz said Monday, according to the Detroit Free Press.
Florence signed with the Lions a week before the 2012 season. He spent training camp and the preseason with the Broncos before being cut.
Florence started 45 games over the last three seasons with the Bills and has 17 career interceptions. He had a pass defensed in each of the Lions’ first two games and started in Sunday’s loss.
The Lions were missing three starters in the secondary in Sunday's loss: CB Bill Bentley (concussion), FS Louis Delmas (knee) and CB Chris Houston (ankle).
