Browns CB Joe Haden has appealed a potential four-game suspension, club president Mike Holmgren told 92.3 FM in Cleveland on Tuesday.
"He’s had his appeal hearing and now it’s up to someone else," Holmgren said, according to a story on the radio station's website.
ESPN Cleveland reported earlier in the summer that Haden was facing a suspension for using Adderall.
Holmgren said the club hasn't heard back from the NFL on the suspension, and he assumes Haden will be available for Week One.
“I suspect though if we haven’t heard by now that we’ll have him for the first game," Holmgren said.
The 23-year-old Haden is regarded as one of the promising young players at his position. He was the Browns' No. 1 pick in 2010.
