PFW ranks the NFL teams heading into Week One.
1. New York Giants: Secondary issues push Michael Coe into forefront role.
2. New England Patriots: Pats say bye to Deion Branch, Dan Koppen, Brian Hoyer, but have reloaded plenty this offseason.
3. San Francisco 49ers: Have the NFL's best defense and special teams and an efficient, creative offense that does not make mistakes.
4. Green Bay Packers: Offense could possibly be even better than it was last year, which is saying something.
5. Philadelphia Eagles: Have offensive speed to torch shorthanded Browns "D" early and often.
6. Baltimore Ravens: No-huddle attack adds intrigue to offense.
7. Houston Texans: Can RS Trindon Holliday keep the magic act going in the regular season?
8. New Orleans Saints: Talent bountiful, but defense still offers cause for concern.
9. Pittsburgh Steelers: Secondary has something to prove in rematch with Denver.
10. Chicago Bears: Feels strange to say offense looks more promising than defense at the moment.
11. Atlanta Falcons: Biggest question is whether they can hold up in the trenches.
12. Denver Broncos: Peyton Manning opens a new era of his career with three 2011 playoff teams, starting with Pittsburgh.
13. Detroit Lions: RB, DB depth primary worries entering season.
14. Cincinnati Bengals: Injuries to O-line are a concern.
15. Kansas City Chiefs: Defense might be really shorthanded against explosive Falcons.
16. San Diego Chargers: A healthy Ryan Mathews would be helpful, but expect Philip Rivers to chuck it often against Raiders’ shaky pass “D.”
17. Dallas Cowboys: Tony Romo clearly tired of having to answer for everything Jerry Jones says.
18. Buffalo Bills: An 0-4 preseason certainly tempered the high expectations in Buffalo.
19. Carolina Panthers: Still seems like a promising club not quite ready to make the big jump.
20. Tennessee Titans: Only losing Kenny Britt for one game has to feel like a win.
21. Seattle Seahawks: Russell Wilson is a great story line, but he poses just one of many questions on Seattle’s offense. But the defense is a playoff-caliber unit.
22. Washington Redskins: Mike Shanahan is 14-4 in openers, facing Aaron Kromer in his first game.
23. New York Jets: No unit in football is happier the preseason is over than the Jets’ offense.
24. Arizona Cardinals: Shaky QB situation, made worse by tattered O-line, keeps Cardinals hovering around .500.
25. Oakland Raiders: Probably will take at least a small step back as they move forward.
26. Cleveland Browns: Multiple defensive injuries a tough blow to rebuilding team.
27. Jacksonville Jaguars: Jacksonville has its Mojo back — but how soon will he be working?
28. Miami Dolphins: A healthy Brian Hartline would be a big boost to a very limited receiving corps.
29. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Early schedule won’t let Greg Schiano ease into first season at the helm.
30. Minnesota Vikings: Don't expect to see full treatment of Adrian Peterson in Week One.
31. St. Louis Rams: Jeff Fisher will need a little time to get Rams going in right direction. His presence alone, though, should double win total from last year.
32. Indianapolis Colts: This is an important time for GM Ryan Grigson, who is making the most of his club’s No. 1 waiver standing.
