Raiders claim three off waivers

ALAMEDA, Calif. (AP) — The Raiders have claimed DB Phillip Adams, LB Keenan Clayton and OT Willie Smith off waivers.

Oakland waived CBs Chimdi Chekwa and Bryan McCann, and waived/injured DT Jamie Cumbie on Saturday to make room on the 53-man roster.

Adams played in 22 career games in two seasons with San Francisco, New England and Seattle. He was waived by Seattle on Friday.

Clayton played in 21 games with one start in two seasons with Philadelphia.

Smith played in four games with three starts for Washington last year.

Earlier, the Raiders added LBs Nathan Stupar and Kaelin Burnett and WRs Brandon Carswell and Travionte Session to their practice squad. Oakland still has four empty spots on the practice squad.
