JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — The Jaguars have waived TE Zach Miller injured and claimed former Eagles TE Brett Brackett off waivers.

The Jaguars also signed former Alabama QB John Parker Wilson to the practice squad. The team plans to fill out the practice squad later Saturday.

A pass-catching tight end with a history of injuries, Miller will revert to injured reserve if he clears waivers. Miller sustained a calf injury late in the preseason and has been sidelined since.

Beckett, a Penn State graduate in 2010, has spent time with Miami, Jacksonville and Philadelphia. He spent a few days on Jacksonville's practice squad in 2011.

With Miller out and reserve tight end Matt Veldman on injured reserve, the Jaguars were looking for help at the position.
