Steelers rookie LB Sean Spence suffered a significant knee injury in Friday night’s preseason finale, head coach Mike Tomlin confirmed.

According to Pro Football Talk, Spence tore his ACL, LCL and dislocated his kneecap.

Spence was the Steelers’ third-round pick in April. He led the Miami Hurricanes in tackles and tackles for loss last season. Spence was set to be a No. 2 inside linebacker and is now likely to spend his rookie season on injured reserve.
