Report: Redskins S Jackson suspended indefinitely

Redskins S Tanard Jackson has been suspended indefinitely with a review in a year for again violating the league’s drug policy, according to Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer.

Jackson is trying to appeal the suspension.

The fifth-year pro was out of the NFL for more than a year because of a suspension related to a violation of the league's substance-abuse policy when he missed all but two games of 2010. He was reinstated in October of last season.

Jackson spent five seasons with the Buccaneers but was cut in April for failing his physical. The Redskins signed him to a one-year deal.

Jackson has 27 passes defensed, 239 tackles and 10 interceptions in his career. He had two picks last season.
