After not finding a trading partner, the Eagles have cut third-year QB Mike Kafka.
Kafka entered training camp as the front-runner to be the Eagles’ No. 2 quarterback behind Michael Vick. Hjowever, Kafka suffered a broken bone in his left (non-throwing) hand in the preseason opener and has not played since.
Rookie QB Nick Foles has played very well, and reports indicate that Trent Edwards would be the No. 3 quarterback. The Eagles reportedly were shopping Kafka earlier on Friday.
Kafka played in four games last season and completed 11-of-16 passes for 107 yards and two interceptions.
