Titans WR Kenny Britt will be suspended for the first game of the regular season, according to PFW correspondent Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean.
Britt, who was activated off the physically-unable-to-perform list on Tuesday, was arrested for a DUI in July, adding to his list of off-field transgressions since entering the NFL.
Last season, Britt had 17 catches for 289 yards and three touchdowns in three games. He tore the ACL and MCL in his right knee in Week Three, and underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee in the summer.
In 2010, Britt had 24 catches for 775 yards and nine scores in 12 games. Without Britt, first-round WR Kendall Wright and Nate Washington will likely start in the Titans’ Week One game against the Patriots.
