The Steelers announced that WR Mike Wallace signed his free-agent tender and LBs James Harrison and Jason Worilds were activated from the physically-unable-to-perform list.
Wallace reported to the team on Tuesday to sign his tender, which is worth $2.742 million for the 2012 season. Wallace had missed training camp because of his frustration about not getting a long-term deal. While he sat out, his teammate Antonio Brown received a six-year, $42.5 million contract.
Harrison was on PUP as he recovered from a knee and back injury. Worilds was recovering from a wrist injury.
The Steelers also released RB Jason Ford.
