Former NFL QB Oliver Luck, father of No. 1 overall pick Andrew, will join the NFL’s player safety advisory panel, commissioner Roger Goodell announced Tuesday.
The panel, which is co-chaired by Ronnie Lott and John Madden, was formed two years ago to assist the league in reviewing all facets of the game involving player health and safety.
“It is a real honor to have been asked to participate as a member of the NFL Player Safety Advisory Panel,” says Luck. “I would like to thank the co-chairs, John Madden and Ronnie Lott, for the opportunity, and I look forward to making a positive contribution to the work of the panel.
Luck is the athletic director at West Virginia and spent five seasons in the NFL with the Houston Oilers.
