A federal appeals court has declined to overturn a six-game suspension for Broncos LB D.J. Williams, The Denver Post reported Monday.

In the ruling, which can be found on the Post website, the appeals court affirmed a June 21 Colorado district-court ruling that upheld the NFL's discipline.

Williams' six-game suspension is for a violation of the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing drugs.

Williams, 30, notched 90 tackles and five sacks in 13 games (all starts) for Denver in 2012. Wesley Woodyard is expected to start in Williams' spot.
