The Texans placed rookie PK Randy Bullock on injured reserve Sunday, head coach Gary Kubiak told the media.
Bullock, the team’s fifth-round pick, will miss his rookie season with a groin injury. He sustained the injury during training camp.
“It had been bothering him for a couple of weeks, and he continued to kick through it," Kubiak said, according to the team’s website. "He’s very tough. Kicked very well last night, came in here today black and blue and we ran some tests on him, so a sad situation. He’s going to kick in this league. He’s going to kick a long time."
Veteran Shayne Graham, 34, has converted all five of his FG attempts this preseason, and he will be the team’s kicker.
The Texans also placed third-year LB Daryl Sharpton on the physically-unable-to-perform list with a hip injury.
