The Lions have claimed ex-Cowboys OG-C Bill Nagy off waivers after he was released following ankle surgery earlier in the week. The team also placed placed CB Drew Coleman on injured reserve. Coleman recently suffered a concussion in practice.
Nagy, a 2011 seventh-round draft pick of the Cowboys, started four games for Dallas last season. A broken ankle ended his season and he had surgery on the same left ankle Wednesday after suffering a high left ankle sprain in the first practice of this year's training camp.
Nagy, 24, was expected to compete for the Cowboys' starting center spot with Phil Costa before the injury.
