Steelers OLT Max Starks has been removed from the PUP list, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reported Tuesday.
Starks, 30, suffered an ACL injury in Pittsburgh's playoff loss at Denver in January. Starks, who started 13 games at left tackle in 2011 (12 regular-season, one postseason), could push to start. Rookie Mike Adams, who got the call in the Steelers' preseason opener, struggled in pass protection and suffered a knee injury. Adams' knee injury is "minor," with his status "day-to-day," head coach Mike Tomlin said.
Starks has made 80 regular-season starts for the Steelers and has started in each of the club's last two Super Bowl wins.
