The Cowboys announced Monday that they have cut S Brodney Pool and CB Isaac Madison and signed WR David Little and RB Javarris Williams.
Pool, a free-agent signee in the offseason, was expected to take over the starting SS spot after starting 6-of-14 games for the Jets last season. However, Pool failed the conditioning test at the start of camp and third-year pro Barry Church has consistently impressed the team brass.

With Pool cut, all signs point toward Church as the starting strong safety. It's not a surprise that the team cut Pool, as he made too much money to be a reserve who was not likely to factor in on special teams.
