Dolphins P Brandon Fields has agreed to a four-year contract extension, according to reports.
Fields was entering the final year of his deal before agreeing to a contract that will keep him signed through the 2016 season. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Fields' extension is worth just over $13 million with $3.3 million guaranteed, making him the league's fifth-highest paid punter.
Fields, 28, had a net punting average of 41.1 yards last season, which was the fourth-best mark in the NFL. He tied for third in the league with 32 punts dropped inside the 20-yard line in 2011.
