The Broncos announced Saturday that they signed veteran free-agent S Jim Leonhard.
"(Leonhard) will add experience and depth to our secondary," John Elway said in a tweet.
Leonhard signed a one-year deal, according to CBS' Jason La Canfora. The eighth-year veteran is coming off a right patella tendon tear, which ended his 2011 season after 13 games. Leonhard, who had also drawn interest from the Bills recently, spent the past three seasons with the Jets and started every game he played in from 2009-11.
