The Packers signed P Tim Masthay to a four-year, $5.465 million extension, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. The deal includes a $1.2 million signing bonus.

Masthay, 25, is entering his third NFL season. In 2011, he punted 55 times with a net average of 38.6 yards a punt. Twenty-three of his 55 punts landed inside the opponent’s 20-yard line. 

Masthay was tied for 22nd in the league last season in net punting average and 17th in overall punting average (45.6 yards). In a 38-35 win over the Giants in Week 13 last season, Masthay dropped four of his five punts inside the 20.
