Replacement officials will work Sunday’s preseason opener between the Saints and Cardinals.

The league’s VP of football operations Ray Anderson confirmed the news earlier this week that the Hall of Fame Game would be officiated by replacement referees.

The NFL locked out the NFL Referees Association on June 3. Names of the replacement officials would be released before Sunday’s game in Canton.

Little progress was made between the league and NFLRA during negotiations last week, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
