The Seahawks will sign veteran WR Braylon Edwards on Tuesday. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, it’s a one-year deal.

Edwards, 29, played in nine games with five starts for the 49ers last season. He had 15 catches for 181 yards and zero touchdowns.

In 2010, Edwards caught 53-904-7 for the Jets. His career-best season came in 2007 with the Browns, when he hauled in 80 catches for 1,289 yards and 16 touchdowns.

Edwards joins Sidney Rice, Doug Baldwin, Ben Obomanu, Golden Tate and Antonio Bryant in the Seahawks’ receiving corps.
