QB Kevin Kolb will start for the Cardinals in Sunday’s Hall of Fame game against the Saints, head coach Ken Whisenhunt said Tuesday.

Whisenhunt confirmed that Kolb has a thigh contusion and is expected to practice on Wednesday.

Kolb started nine games last season, throwing nine touchdown passes and eight interceptions. He ended the season on injured reserve with a concussion. The Cardinals’ starting quarterback spot is reportedly Kolb’s to lose, though John Skelton impressed in his opportunities last season.

Sunday's game kicks off at 8 p.m. ET.
