OT Jeff Otah will not stay with the Jets after being acquired from Carolina last week. Panthers GM Marty Hurney confirmed that the trade was voided after Otah failed his physical.

The Jets acquired Otah from the Panthers last week for a conditional seventh-round pick. Otah needed to pass a physical within a week of the trade.

The former first-round pick has played in only four games the past two seasons because of knee injuries. Otah, who was going to compete with Wayne Hunter to start at right tackle for New York, will now head back to Carolina.
