The Panthers cut LB Jyles Tucker after he left training camp.
“It was something he had to. So we'll leave it at that and go from there,” head coach Ron Rivera said Monday, according to the Charlotte Observer. “It was strictly a personal instance. There's nothing bad, nothing like that.”
Tucker signed with Carolina this offseason after not playing in 2011. He played in three games for the Chargers in 2010.
In 2008, Tucker started 12 games for San Diego and recorded 5½ sacks.
