The Redskins signed CB David Jones, the team announced Tuesday.

Jones played in five games with the Jaguars last season and made four tackles and one pass defensed. In 2010, he played in all 16 games with five starts, making 33 tackles, three passes defensed and one interception.

Jones began his career with the Bengals in 2007 and played there until ’09.

The Redskins waived rookie CB Chase Minnifield, who will revert to the team’s injured reserve if he is not claimed.
