Ravens OLB Courtney Upshaw passed his conditioning test and practiced Monday, he wrote on Twitter Tuesday morning.

Upshaw wrote that he missed a walk-through because of the test but "but went back and passed it the same day" and then practiced.

Upshaw, a second-round pick from Alabama, is regarded as the favorite to start in the SLB spot formerly filled by Jarret Johnson, who signed with San Diego in the offseason.

The Ravens had placed Upshaw on the non-football injury list, according to multiple published reports. Also reportedly placed on the NFI list were OLB Terrell Suggs (Achilles), who's likely to miss the start of the season, as well as rookie TE Bruce Figgins.

Placed on the PUP list, according to multiple reports, were DE Pernell McPhee (knee), OL Kelechi Osemele (leg), WR David Reed (knee) and OL Jah Reid (calf).
