One day after signing top pick RB Trent Richardson, the Browns agreed on a deal with first-round QB Brandon Weeden, Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer first reported.
The 22nd overall pick in April’s draft, Weeden is expected to come in and start at quarterback for the Browns over Colt McCoy.
Last year’s 22nd pick, Colts OT Anthony Castonzo, signed a four-year deal worth $8 million.

The way we see it
Weeden's on-time arrival at Browns camp is a positive. He has a strong chance to be the Week One starter, but picking up the West Coast offense can be challenging. The Browns have to hope he progresses somewhat like the Bengals' Andy Dalton did last summer, when a few preseason struggles preceeded a solid first NFL regular season.
