Falcons LB Lofa Tatupu suffered a pectoral injury while working out, head coach Mike Smith announced.
“Lofa sustained a pectoral injury while working out recently,” Smith said. “At this point, we do not know the extent of the injury, but we expect to have more information early next week.”
The three-time Pro Bowler signed with Atlanta this spring. He did not play in 2011 after spending the first six seasons of his career with the Seahawks. In 2010, Tatupu started all 16 games and made 88 tackles, one sack and eight passes defensed.
