Chiefs DB Donald Washington was arrested Thursday and charged with DUI, unlawful possession of cannabis, speeding and driving with a suspended license.
According to the Effingham Daily News, Washington was stopped Thursday afternoon by an Illinois state trooper. Police also found crushed pills which they believe may be a controlled substance.
Washington posted bail after his Friday court appearance. His next hearing is set for Aug. 23.
A reserve DB, Washington played in 12 games with three starts last season. He had 25 tackles and two passes defensed.
