Titans WR Kenny Britt was arrested for DUI at Fort Campbell, Ky., 104.5 The Zone in Nashville first reported.
The Titans released a statement that they are “aware of the situation and are in the process of gathering more facts.”
The original report stated that Britt was with teammate CB Tommie Campbell and a female soldier, but Campbell said he is in Pennsylvania with his family and has been since Friday. The car was stopped at a gate heading back to the base. PFW correspondent Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean reported that Britt was given a field sobriety test at the scene and failed. He was taken into custody at 3:30 a.m. on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
Britt suffered a torn ACL and MCL in his right knee in Week Three last season and recently had a second arthroscopic surgery, this one on his left knee.
Last offseason, Britt was arrested multiple times, but he did not get suspended by the league. He had 17 catches for 289 yards and three touchdowns last season before getting hurt.
