The Jaguars signed franchised PK Josh Scobee to a four-year deal on Monday, Tania Ganguli of the Florida Times-Union first reported.
The deal comes almost two hours before the league’s deadline for teams to sign franchised players to new contracts. Scobee's deal is worth $3.45 million per year with $4.75 million guaranteed, according to Ganguli.
Scobee, 30, had not signed his franchise tender, and got the long-term deal he was looking for. Scobee has kicked for the Jaguars since entering the league in 2004 and has a career field-goal percentage of 78.8.
Last season, Scobee made 23-of-25 field goals and all 24 extra points.
