Texans QB Matt Schaub has been cleared for the start of training camp.
According to ESPN’s Paul Kuharsky, Dr. Robert Anderson gave Schaub the green light this week. Last season, Schaub suffered a serious lisfranc injury in his foot that required surgery.
In his 10 starts last season, Schaub completed 61.0 percent of his passes for 2,479 yards, 15 touchdowns and six interceptions. The Texans made the playoffs with rookie T.J. Yates at quarterback and won their wild-card game over the Bengals.
The 2012 season is a contract year for Schaub.
