Rams TE Brody Eldridge has been suspended four games for violating the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing drugs. Eldridge's suspension covers the team's first four games of the 2012 season and he will not be paid during his time off.
The 25-year-old Oklahoma product is entering his third NFL season. He played his first two seasons with the Colts, who cut him May 18. He was picked up by the Rams the following day.
Eldridge will be able to participate in all offseason and preseason practices and games, and will be able to return to the active roster following St. Louis' Sept. 30 game.
As mostly a blocking tight end in Indianapolis, he had nine receptions for 45 yards in 13 games (eight starts) last season.
